2 Four Kinds Of Judgment Methods Of Salt Fog Test Results

Several Methods Of Solution Preparation For Salt Fog Test Chamber

Various test methods (salt-fog, desiccation, hot and humid, condensation, etc) can be completed in a salt fog test chamber. There are preparation methods of some common solutions:

A.Copper accelerated acetic acid or salt-fog solution
First, put analytical reagent sodium chloride solution into water (in accord with GB6682XX), then reach the concentration of (50±10)g/L. Second, add the copper chloride reagent into 3.8L salt water, dissolve and mix them thoroughly. Third, use acetic acid to adjust the PH value of solution. The PH value should be in the range between 3.1 to 3.2, which is attained by measuring the collected salt spray sample under the temperature of 25℃. The prepared solution can be use after filtering.

B. Acetic acid- salt fog solution
First, put analytical reagent sodium chloride solution into pure water, then dissolve and reach the concentration of (50±10)g/L. Second, use acetic acid to adjust the PH value of solution, which should be in the range between 3.1 to 3.2. The PH value can be gained after measuring the collected salt spray sample under the temperature of 25℃. The prepared solution can be use after filtering.

C.Neutral salt fog solution
First, dissolve the analytical reagent sodium chloride solution into pure water and reach the concentration of (50±10)g/L. Second, determine the PH value (6.5 to 7.5) of test solution under the temperature of 25℃. Third, if PH value is out of range, it can be adjusted by analytical reagent hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide solution. The prepared solution can be use after filtering.
